poem 129

We made time embarrassed to stay
above your head a broken circle
But it was me, that placed it there
and true, it was me who broke it too

Yesterday, i saw your naked feet
walk through Clapham junction
With time moving to your side
and me, wishing just to say hello

A lover new, but how could i know
never would i cast such a passion
The penny dropped, then i asked you
and shock, stopped all the clocks too

Now this, a memory to covers us
a stain upon on our woven cloth
But still, our fabric forever shines
and tells of days, brilliance we made
